Jo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Forensic Science from Syracuse University in 2018. Before joining the FABlab, she served as the lab supervisor for the Moral and Political Decision-Making lab under Dr. Shannon Houck and as a research assistant in the Center for Autism Research and Electrophysiology under Dr. Natalie Russo. She also worked with families, primarily adolescents, as a clinical intern at Crouse Hospital's Chemical Dependency Outpatient Unit. Jo is interested in working with and conducting research on adolescents who are at risk for entering or already involved in the criminal and juvenile justice systems. Specifically, she in interested in the underlying mechanisms of behaviors that are deemed as deviant. Outside of lab, Jo enjoys writing poetry and baking sweets.
