Melanie is a Sophomore in Pierson College majoring in Psychology (Neuroscience track). She is especially interested in Adolescent development, the relationships between physical and mental health, and how cross-cultural, socioeconomic, and gender differences influence perception. She is working on the ABCD Study to examine behavioral and brain development in 9-10 year old children as part of a large national study to follow 10,000 children over the next ten years. Melanie serves as the Education Chair on the Slifka Center board, is involved with the Women's Leadership Initiative, and enjoys dancing.
