Nico graduated from Yale University in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Cognitive Science and certificates in Human Rights and German language. Prior to joining the FABLab, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Clinical Affective Neuroscience and Development Lab (CANDLab) under Dr. Dylan Gee, where he spent his time researching fear reduction via safety cue learning. His research interests include the bidirectional relationships between psychopathology and various learning and memory systems, the impact of trauma exposure in children and adolescents on the development of psychiatric symptomatology and disorders, and critical mental health. He plans to pursue a medical degree or a doctorate in clinical psychology. Outside of the lab, Nico enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and experimenting in the kitchen.
